XRP Holders Hit Back at Litecoin’s Latest Jab With One Chart

Litecoin’s official X account has reignited its long-running feud with XRP. It posted a reaction clip that aimed an ableist slur at the token. Yet the jab lands at an awkward time. XRP has left Litecoin (LTC) far behind on both price and market value.

XRP supporters fired back and pointed to LTC’s weak track record.

XRP Supporters Flip the Joke

Litecoin’s account posted the clip on November 5, and one XRP supporter quickly reversed its caption, sharing a CoinMarketCap chart of both assets over three years. The chart shows XRP clearly in the green, while LTC sits below its starting level. Several replies argued that Litecoin has little room to mock XRP while trailing it so badly.

Others noted that Zcash (ZEC) has outpaced Litecoin this year, although both coins target digital payments. Grayscale recently singled out Zcash as the payment coin with the most room to grow.

The price data backs up the critics. XRP has more than doubled since late 2024 and still ranks among the five largest cryptocurrencies. In fact, it has stayed in the top 10 every year since 2014.

LTC, by contrast, trades more than 85% below its May 2021 record of $410. Earlier this year, the coin fell back to multi-cycle lows.

Why the Litecoin and XRP Feud Keeps Coming Back

The clash between Litecoin and XRP is not new. In August 2025, Litecoin’s account mocked XRP’s banking narrative and called Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse “Brad Garlicmouse.” Weeks later, it dismissed XRP hype as a “cosmic delusion.”

The account later said it also jokes about Solana and even itself. Still, it complained that its XRP posts draw the strongest backlash, including alleged legal threats.

For Litecoin, trolling XRP at least buys attention. For XRP holders, however, the numbers matter more than the memes. US spot XRP ETFs have drawn inflows even on days when Bitcoin and Ethereum funds lost money.
