TRON Surpasses $30T in Total Transaction Volume as it Secures its Place as Leading Chain for Stablecoins

Geneva, Switzerland, September 23, 2026 — TRON DAO, a community-led DAO focused on speeding up internet decentralization through decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain technology, reported today that cumulative transaction volume on the TRON network has cleared $30 trillion. This landmark achievement stems from the network’s high throughput, minimal fees, and deep liquidity, establishing TRON as the preferred settlement layer globally for digital asset activity, payments, and stablecoin transfers.

To date, TRON has registered more than 405 million user accounts, exceeding 15 billion total transactions and holding over $28 billion in total value locked (TVL). It also supports more than $94 billion in circulating USDT, representing the largest supply on any blockchain. Data from Token Terminal indicates that TRON leads all networks in year-to-date USDT transfer volume with roughly $6 trillion, averaging a daily volume of $25 billion.

This growth is similarly expanding into consumer payments. Research from CoinDesk Research shows that crypto payment card volumes climbed from $2 billion in the first quarter of 2026 to $2.4 billion in the second quarter. Over that same timeframe, TRON’s market share advanced from 33% to 34%, marking the highest of any tracked chain and illustrating its dominance in merchant adoption and consumer-to-business transactions via Visa-linked stablecoin cards.

“TRON has moved $30 trillion since launch, a scale comparable to the annual output of the U.S. economy in 2025. Crossing $30 trillion in total transaction volume is proof that TRON has become an essential infrastructure for the digital dollar economy,” said Justin Sun, founder of TRON. “Every trillion dollars that moves across TRON represents real people relying on stablecoins for payments, savings, and everyday transactions. TRON was built to support accessible, scalable digital financial infrastructure, and this milestone reflects the continued growth of that mission.”

Alongside network expansion, institutional access to TRON has also widened. Canary Capital introduced the Canary Staked TRX ETF under the ticker TRXS in September 2026. Furthermore, spot and futures products for TRX became available on Bitnomial, a derivatives exchange regulated in the United States, expanding regulated market channels. Anchorage Digital added native TRX staking and TRC-20 asset custody to its regulated platform, while the Tokenized Hamilton Lane SCOPE Fund debuted as the initial Securitize-issued asset on TRON.

Additionally, the TRON blockchain secured a spot among the top 5 protocols featured in the newly introduced S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index. Created by S&P Dow Jones Indices alongside Pantera Capital, the index relies on a methodology emphasizing onchain liquidity, protocol utility, and network activity. This rollout serves as one of the clearest indications yet that traditional financial frameworks are expanding into digital assets by applying standard benchmark methodologies typically utilized for equities and alternative asset classes to blockchain networks.

TRON’s milestone of $30 trillion in transfer volume highlights the network’s scale as stablecoin settlement and blockchain-based payments continue to scale. With growing engagement across digital assets, institutional markets, and payments, TRON maintains its role as fundamental infrastructure for on-chain value transfer.
