Apple Teases a Pokémon Beats Pill, Hinting at a Pikachu Speaker

Apple teased a Pokémon speaker through Beats by Dre, its headphone and audio brand. The six-second clip closes on both logos and hints at a Pikachu-themed Beats Pill. Pokémon’s official account replied on X with an eyes emoji.

The tease lands roughly six weeks after Pikachu toured Apple’s headquarters. Still, Beats has not shared a price, a release date, or even the character’s name. The Pokémon Company, which Nintendo co-owns, manages the franchise’s brand deals worldwide.

Why the Apple Pokémon Speaker Tease Points to Pikachu

The clip shows a dark pill-shaped speaker as yellow lightning and purple energy waves flash around it. The yellow bolts echo Pikachu, the franchise’s electric-type mascot. Beats, however, never names a character. The caption, “Time to catch something new,” nods to the franchise’s famous catchphrase.

Pokémon’s emoji reply signals that the franchise is in on the launch.

Meanwhile, a Pokémon news account on X shared images of a yellow Pikachu box labeled “Beats Pill.” However, neither company has confirmed the final design.

The Apple Pokémon speaker would build on a product Apple brought back only recently. Apple revived the Pill in 2024, two years after it discontinued the earlier model.

Pikachu Keeps Showing Up Where the Money Is

The tie-up follows a visit that already stirred speculation among fans in August. Back then, Pikachu toured Apple Park with Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara. Days later, John Ternus replaced Tim Cook as Apple CEO.

Apple bought Beats in 2014, and the brand often uses co-branded editions to refresh older hardware. Earlier in 2026, it released special editions with Nike and K-pop singer Jennie. An Apple Pokémon speaker would extend that playbook to gaming fans.

Pokémon, meanwhile, has become a financial story as much as a cultural one. Rare graded cards returned about 150% since September 2021, per the CardTrack 100 index.

As a result, Pokémon cards beat Bitcoin, gold, and the S&P 500 over that span.

Coinbase has teased digital Pokémon card packs that users can redeem for physical cards.

Pokémon’s brand now moves card prices, Polymarket prediction markets, and tech launches alike. An Apple Pokémon speaker will show whether that pull extends to consumer hardware.
