Hyperliquid Strategies Keeps Buying the Token That Drove Its $305.5 Million Profit

A wallet associated with Hyperliquid Strategies has acquired 494,200 Hyperliquid (HYPE) tokens valued at $45.8 million.

This most recent purchase continues a month-long acquisition streak. Furthermore, the token driving the firm’s treasury has experienced a sharp outperformance compared to both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) throughout the year.

HYPE Did the Heavy Lifting in Fiscal 2026

Data from Lookonchain indicates that the wallet has accumulated 5.51 million HYPE—equivalent to $476 million—over the course of the past month. This pace averages out to 183,574 tokens, or $15.86 million, each day.

Consequently, the organization now possesses 35.1 million HYPE, which totals approximately $3.2 billion. This represents an increase from the approximately 29.3 million tokens held at the close of its fiscal year on June 30.

The full-year profit report revealed that Hyperliquid Strategies secured $305.5 million in net income for the fiscal year, which was driven largely by HYPE price increases. Additionally, the company’s results indicated that unrealized gains on its digital assets reached $709.9 million.

HYPE Outruns Bitcoin and Ethereum

This sustained accumulation has unfolded during a highly lucrative year for the token. Market metrics show that HYPE has risen 280% over the course of 2026.

Conversely, Bitcoin has dropped 5.42% this year, whereas Ethereum has fallen by 10.98%.

Metrics from Artemis illustrate how this divergence has impacted various treasury firms. Hyperliquid Strategies maintains $2.7 billion in unrealized gains, placing it second behind only Strategy. Meanwhile, BitMine, which focuses on Ethereum, occupies the opposite position with the most substantial unrealized loss.

Market participants are also paying a premium to gain this exposure. A recent report by DWF Ventures positions Hyperliquid Strategies among four of the top 20 treasury stocks that trade at a value higher than their underlying holdings.

According to DWF’s calculations, the firm’s market-value-to-net-asset-value ratio reached 1.17x. Although the stock has beaten HYPE by 31% since July, DWF noted that holding the token directly remained the superior choice across timeframes exceeding three months.
